We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone.

-Ronald Reagan

This Saturday, Team Ricey participated in the Spartan Race at the Amesbury sports park.  Chris Dowling, Inspector for the Peabody fire Department, and childhood friend organized this event in the name of the James Rice Survivors Fund.  Chris did a spectacular job leading Team Ricey, from organizing and getting the word out, to trying to keep to a training regimen.

I was not able to train with the team as I live in New York, between work and kids’; training was few and far between.  My original thought, ‘just three miles with 15 obstacles in-between, no problem.’   As I am sure you know, what I encountered was much more.  Huge hills and small muddy paths through the woods, with almost every obstacle a, or multiple water hazards, is something I was truly unprepared for.  I fell behind the team, but my beautiful wife, who was running with us, stayed with me and kept me motivated.  Her support and my determination to finish the race was all that was needed to end the race 2h and 16m later with a great feeling of accomplishment.   Thank you for all your support and good wishes for the event.

After finishing the Spartan Race in Amesbury Ma. to benefit a fallen hero Jim Rice who lost his life in a fire around Christmas time,  December 2011, I felt exhilarated, not just because of the sense of accomplishment, but knowing that myself, Chef's Tees LLC have made a real contribution to assist the family of Mr. Rice.

There are two other charities that are in need of our support because of the great work they do for our present and future

We probably set unrealistic expectations for our goals, as we are still trying to get our name out, but any little bit helps.  So far we have not yet  sold an item, but are optimistic that as more people become aware of us this will change.  Our New Goal-$200 Thats approximately 200 items

For each purchase before Labor Day, no matter how small, we will send with your order a free Chef's Tees  Window Decal
